The creative journey of this mother and son duo began in 2017, after James sustained a life-threatening brain injury. Out of his pain and throughout his recovery, he started drawing images that Jannie soon came to understand were the beginning of a tarot deck. From then on, they have worked together to pour all their love and positive energy into this stunningly crafted boxset that invites the reader to sit with their life experiences, be present to whatever arises and experience all challenges as an opportunity for self-discovery, liberation, and healing.

The SWT boxset features an illustrated guidebook using only gender-neutral pronouns, and a deck of 78 digitally designed cards with a 79th bonus card: “The Sacred Cosmic Self”. Each card is a portal for connection, an invitation to scrub away the illusion that we are isolated, separate from others.
For that purpose, The SWT departs from traditional decks in several ways. Names are not printed on the Major cards. The initial encounter is wholly focused on the image, as free as possible of any preconceptions. Cards have been renamed and redesigned to exclude any notion of gender or age. The High Priestess is now The Oracle, and Death is now Release, offering an always hopeful and all-encompassing journey. To deepen the reader’s spiritual experience, the guidebook also imbues each card with the energy of gemstones and crystals, numerology and astrology guidance, yoga poses, the sacred sound of mantra and the energy of mudras.
